Arsenal took on Southampton in their final game of the campaign.
Mikel Arteta made several changes as Oleksandr Zinchenko and Raheem Sterling made rare starts, whilst fans were pleased with Declan Rice’s captaincy call as Martin Odegaard dropped to the bench.
A first half of frustration from the Gunners was eased just before half time as Ben White’s cross was steered home by Kieran Tierney on his last appearance for the club.
Southampton equalised just after half time as striker Ross Stewart guided a header past David Raya to prevent the Spaniard from winning the Golden Glove award outright.
Arsenal grabbed a late winner as captain Odegaard fired home from the edge of the box past former teammate Aaron Ramsdale to secure a final day victory.

Arsenal player ratings vs Southampton
David Raya – 6
Will be disappointed to not have kept a clean sheet to win the Golden Glove award outright however, had no chance with the Saints goal from Stewart.
Ben White – 7
Produced an excellent assist for Tierney’s opening goal with a trademark overlapping run and whipped cross to the front post. Fans will be hoping to see more of the same at the start of next season.
Jakub Kiwior – 7
Another solid display from Kiwior in what has been a sensational end to the campaign, one that has given the club a huge dilemma this summer.
Kieran Tierney – 9
The perfect end to his career at Arsenal that will always be remembered in high esteem. Played the game in an unfamiliar centre back role and barely put a foot wrong, whilst opening the scoring with a finish any striker would have been proud of.
Oleksandr Zinchenko – 6
Looked really bright in possession and produced some excellent crosses from the left flank that caused Southampton problems.
Thomas Partey – 6
Another commanding display from Partey in the centre of the park and moved into central defence as Arsenal chased a winning goal.
Declan Rice – 6
Full of energy once again as he tried to put impetus into Arsenal’s attacking play. Would have been disappointed with his final ball at times.
Mikel Merino – 7
A real threat in the attacking third again as he saw two headers go close in the first half, one rattled the crossbar.
Ethan Nwaneri – 7
Played in a more central role and showed Arteta that he is capable of stepping up into that position next season. Silky and able to manoeuvre in tight spaces.
Raheem Sterling – 4
Another lacklustre display from Sterling on what will surely be his final appearance for the club.
Gabriel Martinelli – 6
Showed some real bright sparks on the left hand side as he produced some excellent deliveries into the box, needs more decisiveness in his final actions.
Substitutes –
Bukayo Saka – 6
Had a goal disallowed and as always, had the beating of his full back.
Leandro Trossard – 5
Quiet end to the season for Trossard but did provide an assist for Odegaard’s winning goal.
Kai Havertz – 5
Provided the Gunners with a focal point in the penalty area as they chased a winning goal.
Myles Lewis-Skelly – 5
Replaced Zinchenko but failed to make any impact on the game.
Martin Odegaard – 7
Got on the ball when he came on and showed fans what has been missing from his game this season with an excellent strike to win the match.
