Arsenal make their return to Premier League action at the weekend when they travel across London to face off with West Ham.

The Gunners are finally starting to build some momentum as they push to be back involved in the title race, but they will have to string together more victories to close in on league leaders Liverpool.

Mikel Arteta will attempt that by travelling to West Ham, a place that has been a tricky hunting ground in recent years.

The Hammers have hardly started well under Julen Lopetegui, picking up just four wins in 12 games, but they are fresh off an impressive victory away at Newcastle.

Arsenal will need to be at the top of their game to take all three points from the London Stadium in a huge local clash.

So with that said, here’s a look at everything you need to know ahead of West Ham vs Arsenal in the Premier League.

Arsenal team and injury news

Mikel Arteta’s injury list is starting to shrink after Kieran Tierney made a return to action, while Declan Rice was able to start against Sporting CP in midweek.

Gabriel Magalhaes is an injury doubt after suffering a slight issue in the clash with Sporting that meant he couldn’t finish the game.

Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White are the only guaranteed absences for the match.

West Ham team and injury news

Julen Lopetegui could be missing up to three key players when his side host Arsenal on Saturday evening, coming as a potential blow.

Arsenal transfer target Mohammed Kudus is set to miss out after receiving an extended ban for his red card against Tottenham – which puts him out for five games.

Striker Niclas Fullkrug is set to miss out with a leg injury, while Jean-Clair Todibo is a doubt after a problem he picked up against Newcastle.

Edson Alvarez is available again after serving a suspension for a red card he picked up in a previous match.

West Ham vs Arsenal prediction

With Arsenal recovering a bit of form, they will be looking to land another statement victory on their travels.

West Ham had a bit of fortune against Newcastle last time out, seeing through waves of pressure and being clinical with their few opportunities.

The Gunners can’t afford to waste chances going forward or give them away going backwards and the last two games suggest that they won’t.

While there is a threat from the Hammers, Arteta’s side can nullify it well while their forwards could tear through the home side, who have looked open out of possession.

Score prediction: West Ham 0-2 Arsenal.
