Arsenal can finally rest after a gruelling Premier League season, confirming their place in the top two for another year.

The Gunners beat Southampton on the final day, with goals from Kieran Tierney and Martin Odegaard securing all three points.

With the match finally bringing an end to the Premier League season, Arsenal can start the process of dissecting the campaign as a whole.

Winners from Arsenal’s clash with Southampton

Martin Odegaard

Arsenal club captain Martin Odegaard didn’t start in the match, but he did make a huge impact from the bench.

The playmaker scored the winning goal, taking aim from the edge of the box and finding the back of the net.

Odegaard hasn’t had the season he would’ve wanted, having the lowest goal involvements since making the permanent move.

However, with his goal, it’s clear that there is quality still there and an ability Arsenal will want to tap into next season to get even more from him.

Kieran Tierney

Kieran Tierney is set to leave Arsenal this summer as a free agent after a long spell at the club as a fan favourite.

The defender signed off in perfect fashion, scoring the opener for his side and getting an opportunity to celebrate with the away fans.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Oleksandr Zinchenko has struggled for minutes at times this season, but was handed a start for Arsenal against Southampton.

The defender started at left-back, but inverted into central midfield to help keep hold of possession during the match.

Zinchenko showed his quality throughout the match, circulating the ball well when called upon.

Losers from Arsenal’s clash with Southampton

Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling’s final appearance for Arsenal marked the end of a difficult loan spell for the Gunners, with only one goal scored in that time.

The winger failed to make much of an impression, eventually coming off as a substitute in an underwhelming performance.

Ethan Nwaneri

Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri was given a chance to start after a lack of minutes in recent weeks.

The Hale End academy star was unable to make much of an impact either, failing to create many opportunities for the side before he was also substituted.

Nicolas Jover

Arsenal set-piece coach Nicolas Jover has come under growing scrutiny in recent weeks, due to a perceived weakness in defending corners and free-kicks.

The key man will be under the microscope once again, as the Gunners conceded another soft goal from a set-piece to Southampton.
