Arsenal’s 2024/25 season has finally come to an end, with the side confirming their place in the top two against bottom side Southampton.
A much-changed team was named by Mikel Arteta, with plenty of stars given one last opportunity to impress for the Gunners.
Kieran Tierney scored the opener in what was his final appearance for the club, with fans delighted with his contribution.
Southampton did equalise, however, as Ross Stewart flicked a header beyond the outstretched hand of David Raya.
Late in the match, Arsenal turned the clash in their favour as Martin Odegaard scored with a well-placed strike.
So, with that said, here’s a look at five things you may have missed from Arsenal’s win over Southampton.

Josh Kroenke spotted in attendance for Southampton vs Arsenal
The Arsenal owners were represented at Saint Mary’s, with Josh Kroenke attending the clash with Southampton.
Kroenke was in attendance for Arsenal Women’s Champions League triumph in Lisbon the day prior, making the trip to England to watch the men’s side in action.
He was alongside Mikel Arteta, who was serving a touchline ban, with the Arsenal boss given an opportunity to discuss the future with him.
Whether that included transfer talks is unclear, but he is expected to be backed in the market.
Aaron Ramsdale spotted with former Arsenal teammates
Arsenal fans may have spotted a familiar face in the opposition ranks as Aaron Ramsdale featured in goal for Southampton.
The goalkeeper was a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium, featuring prominently as the club moved up the ranks.
Ramsdale still knows plenty of the Arsenal squad and was spotted having a laugh and a chat with some of his old teammates.

New Southampton manager watched on from the stands
It wasn’t just those of an Arsenal persuasion watching on from the stands with interest, but Southampton had a special spectator too.
Will Still, who was announced as the new head coach before the match, was seen at Saint Mary’s as his team fell to defeat.
While relegation has been confirmed, Arsenal may well face off with Still and his Southampton side in a couple of years if he is successful in earning promotion.
Kieran Tierney celebrated with Arsenal away fans
In his final appearance for Arsenal, Kieran Tierney signed off in fine fashion by scoring an important goal for the side.
Ghosting across the face of the goal, the Scottish international got on the end of a cross to give the Gunners the lead.
It was a moment the defender clearly loved, not only celebrating when it hit the back of the net, but he also ran the length of the pitch to celebrate with the away fans.
Martin Odegaard pushed by stars to celebrate
It has been a tough season for Martin Odegaard, with the Arsenal club captain struggling to find his best form.
He showed the supporters a glimpse of his old ability once again, though, finding the back of the net with a strike from range to earn a win.
While his celebration was initially quite a reluctant one, the Arsenal players pushed Odegaard towards the fans to celebrate.
