Arsenal told Mikel Merino transfer price

Arsenal’s move for Real Sociedad star Mikel Merino appears to have stalled in recent weeks, after a push to land the midfielder.

The Spaniard has impressed in recent years with his La Liga side before he helped his nation win the European Championships this summer.

Those performances have been enough to catch the eye of Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar for a potential move.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Merino ever since the Euros, with the possibility of adding an impressive technical player alongside Declan Rice in the midfield.

However, with little movement being made on the deal, it seems as though the hold-up has surrounded the asking price.

According to the Independent, it is claimed that a valuation gap of just under £10million is keeping an agreement apart.

Sociedad are believed to value the player at €35million (£29.9million), while Arsenal have offered closer to €25million (£21.3million) so far.

It shows the work that has to be done to close the gap between the two teams in negotiations if an agreement is to be reached.

Bournemouth stance on Eddie Nketiah transfer

Following on from Dominic Solanke’s move to Tottenham, Bournemouth are in the market for a striker before the end of the transfer window.

One option who has appeared on their radar is Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah, who is available to sign in the coming weeks.

Nketiah was linked with a move to Marseille earlier this window, but that deal seems to have collapsed as the French club look at targets elsewhere.

With the England international starting just nine Premier League games last season, there could be a desire to make the switch for more regular game time.

Bournemouth’s interest could turn concrete in the coming days as Arsenal Insider sources claim that the Cherries are “very keen” on a move and won’t be deterred by an asking price put on the Hale End academy graduate.

It still remains to be seen if an offer will be tabled in the near future, but other options could turn their focus elsewhere.

Aaron Ramsdale transfer stance

Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale is courting interest from the Netherlands this summer, as Ajax are eyeing a move for the goalkeeper.

That’s according to David Ornstein, who claims that the England international is on the Dutch team’s radar for a deal.

An initial loan offer was made, which has since been turned down by the Gunners, with the preference being a permanent switch.

Ajax are still firmly following any movements on the 26-year-old, who could be set for an exit in the weeks ahead.

It comes after Ramsdale slipped down the pecking order in the past year, with David Raya becoming the preferred option with the gloves.

The future of the Arsenal star remains unclear at this point.
