Arsenal fans will be impressed by the start Andrea Berta has made to his career.

Arsenal are in ‘advanced talks’ with Gabriel Magalhaes over extending his stay at the Emirates Stadium until June 2030.

Berta is the key driving force behind the talks and wants to secure the Brazilian defender’s future as quickly as possible following another tremendous season for the Gunners.

Ben White praised Gabriel for his threat from set-pieces and Arsenal really missed his physical presence after hamstring surgery cut his season short. However, for Berta, the work doesn’t stop there…

Arsenal fans react to Gabriel Magalhaes contract talks

Arsenal fans have taken to X to show their obvious delight at the news Gabriel will be signing a new contract but have also made it clear as to what Berta needs to do next.

There are still key contracts to be sorted at the club this summer and fans are now demanding news on new deals for William Saliba and Bukayo Saka.

One Arsenal fan wrote: “My Arsenal is moving with confidence… this is more important as well as signing a Striker. Expecting news of Saliba, Saka and other important players soon!”

Another fan wrote: “Yes. This is crucial. Tie him down and Saliba stays. They are a formidable unit. They both know it.”

One fan spoke about the importance of Gabriel to Mikel Arteta’s side, they wrote: “Magalhaes is the player who wins aerial duels, the way he distributes the ball, and his ability to read the opponents. His game keeps growing day by day.”

Andrea Berta must sort key Arsenal contracts this summer

Berta knows the size of the task he has on his hands this summer, not only are the Gunners desperate for the right recruitment but they also have key players at the club in need of contract talks.

Alongside Saka and Saliba, Ethan Nwaneri’s Arsenal future is in doubt after worries over his pathway to the first-team.

Real Madrid are interested in Myles Lewis-Skelly as the Hale End star also enters talks with the club over a new deal and the Spanish giants are monitoring that situation.

Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly could leave Arsenal as free agents and the club could receive as little as £1.5m in compensation. The importance of Berta this summer could not be bigger.
