Two Arsenal players have been called up by Thomas Tuchel for England international duty this month.
Tuchel announced his first squad on Friday morning, as he commences his reign as Three Lions boss.
Myles Lewis-Skelly earned his first call-up, while Ethan Nwaneri missed out on the squad, but did earn a place in the under-21s ensemble for the first time.
Declan Rice was also named in the squad, while the recovering Ben White and Bukayo Saka both missed out.

Arsenal fans are beaming with pride after Myles Lewis-Skelly makes England squad
Lewis-Skelly has been exceptional for Arsenal in recent months, bursting onto the scene and holding onto the left-back spot in Mikel Arteta’s team.
Thus, it’s no surprise to see him rewarded for this form with a place in Tuchel’s squad.
The 18-year-old is expected to compete for the starting spot at left-back for England, with Newcastle’s Lewis Hall unavailable after being ruled out for the season.
Arsenal fans were quick to take to X to express how proud they were of the Hale End graduate.
One fan wrote, simply: “Myles Lewis-Skelly. We are so proud of you today.”
Another added: “Buzzing for Myles Lewis-Skelly, a well deserved call up to the England squad.”
One supporter wrote: “Delighted for Myles Lewis-Skelly, so richly deserved.”
Another fan wrote: “From Hale End to the national team! Lewis-Skelly earns his first England call-up. Big future ahead!”
Arsenal fans react to Ethan Nwaneri’s England omission
Nwaneri has excellently filled in for Bukayo Saka this season for the Gunners, but that hasn’t been enough to earn him a place in Tuchel’s debut roster.
The Three Lions have significant competition at the attacking end of the pitch, and thus, it’s reasonable that the German opted to select the more experienced options.
However, some Arsenal fans felt Nwaneri should’ve been selected, taking to X to vent their frustrations.
One simply responded to the announcement by writing: “Nwaneri robbed.”
Another fan congratulated Lewis-Skelly, whilst also claiming there should’ve been space for Nwaneri: “Lewis Skelly what a guy, well deserved! I do think Nwaneri should’ve been selected as well.”
Meanwhile, one supporter urged the Arsenal faithful to calm down, arguing that Nwaneri’s time will come: “Nwaneri will get his call up, it’s just a matter of time… y’all fume over little things gosh.”
The 17-year-old will still play years above his age group over this international break, featuring in Lee Carsley’s under-21 squad.
