Arsenal’s transfer interest in Alexander Isak is no surprise by now, though the chase is still on for the Newcastle striker.
Since leaving Real Sociedad to join the Magpies, the Swedish international has impressed with plenty of goals and clinical performances.
That has seen Arsenal eye a transfer for Isak, with Mikel Arteta needing to add a clinical option to his squad.
It won’t come cheap though, with Newcastle wanting £150million to let Isak leave, displaying just how important he is to them.
With the Arsenal transfer target continuing to impress in the Premier League, supporters gave a surprising response to links.

Arsenal fans give latest verdict on Alexander Isak transfer
Alexander Isak impressed Arsenal fans once again as he managed to score once again for Newcastle against north London rivals Tottenham.
It was the seventh match in a row that the striker scored in, showing exactly why he could be the option the Gunners need.
Supporters, however, are certain that the opportunity to sign Isak has come and gone as they took to social media.
“Missed the boat on Isak in summer,” one fan said. “There all after him now and he will cost 150 mil no hope now.”
Another added: “Why are we romanticizing a player who doesn’t wear our colors or has little to no chance to play us anytime soon?”
One supporter believes a transfer for Isak is out of the question, adding: “Can’t see a world where Arsenal sign Isak in the summer. The opportunity was there in 2022. You are now looking well north of £100M imo. Newcastle hold the cards.”
Another suggested an alternative, claiming: “Newcastle are on track to finish top 4 and get CL football so how in the HELL can we even snatch Isak ??? Give me Gyökeres.”
The frustration continued with: “Good luck getting Isak if Newcastle qualify for the CL next season.” and “I can tell you right now. We are no where near signing Isak. If you think we are you’ll be disappointed come summer. Save this tweet.”
It shows frustration from Arsenal fans that they seemingly can’t land the striker unless they pay big money for him.

Alexander Isak transfer alternatives
With Isak seemingly tough to get, Arsenal will be looking at other options that could be available in the transfer market.
Benjamin Sesko is one of those, having been linked with a switch from RB Leipzig in the summer but failing to make the move.
The youngster is an up-and-coming option, unlike Isak who is nearing his prime, so it may take some time to adjust.
For those at the peak of their career, perhaps Viktor Gyokeres is the best option having been clinical in his time at Sporting CP.
Beyond them, there are the likes of Joao Pedro and Matheus Cunha who have been linked with potential switches.
