Catch all the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours, including updates on Ademola Lookman, Benjamin Sesko and Christhian Mosquera.

The Gunners are looking to make several additions this summer, with a striker and a wide forward the priorities for Andrea Berta and Mikel Arteta.

Martin Zubimendi is set to undergo his medical ahead of a £51 million switch from Real Sociedad, with the Spaniard’s signing expected to be announced by Arsenal at some point next week.

Meanwhile, the North Londoners’ pursuit of a new number nine has intensified in recent days, as links to the likes of Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres heat up.

So with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours.

Arsenal face significant competition for Ademola Lookman

Arsenal are interested in signing Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman this summer, after the Nigerian enjoyed an exceptional season for the Bergamo outfit.

Netting 20 goals across all competitions, it’s no surprise that the Gunners aren’t the only side monitoring Lookman’s situation and looking to pry him away from Northern Italy.

Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are among the clubs interested in signing the 27-year-old, alongside a number of sides in Europe.

Atalanta are demanding a fee in the region of €60 million (£50 million) for Lookman’s services.

Arsenal may not be able to afford Benjamin Sesko’s release clause

Arsenal initiated concrete talks with RB Leipzig over the prospect of signing Benjamin Sesko this summer on Thursday.

Arteta has long admired Sesko, and it looks as though the Gunners are steering towards the Slovenian instead of Viktor Gyokeres.

However, journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported that Arsenal may not be capable of paying the full £67 million release clause for the striker, and Berta is instead looking to negotiate a different payment structure.

The North Londoners had a similar issue with Zubimendi but were able to resolve it, so there remains optimism that a deal is very plausible for Sesko.

RB Leipzig agree deal for Arsenal target Cristhian Mosquera

While Arsenal look to snatch Sesko out of Leipzig’s hands, the German club look set to beat the Gunners to the signing of a defender.

Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera reached a ‘verbal agreement’ with Leipzig ahead of a proposed transfer this summer.

Arsenal hold an interest in Mosquera, but they’re increasingly likely to miss out on the player, after already missing out on another central defensive target in Dean Huijsen this summer.
