Arsenal U18s team news
It is expected that Max Dowman and Jack Porter are both likely to start the game having both been in and around the Arsenal first-team squad this season.
Andre Harriman-Annous has also trained with the first-team in recent weeks and has been in fine form for the U18 side this season having score six goals in the league and three already in the FA Youth Cup run.
Myles Lewis-Skelly is eligible to play for Arsenal however, it is highly unlikely he will be risked with such a huge Champions League tie around the corner.
15-year-old Marli Salmon has been compared to William Saliba in his recent appearance for the U21 side but isn’t expected to feature for the U18s.
Arsenal U18s current form
Jack Wilshere congratulated the U18 side after their previous round victory over Fulham and Adam Birchall’s team head into the clash in relatively decent form.
Their only setback in four games since the 2-1 victory over Fulham was in their last encounter at home to Brighton U18s where they lost 3-2 in a thrilling contest.
Arsenal currently sit eighth in the U18 Premier League whereas opponents Manchester United are flying high in second position in their league.
United U18 side are unbeaten in five matches, which includes a 5-1 thrashing of Chelsea in the previous round where Obi-Martin bagged a hat trick.
With recent academy departures between the two sides in Ayden Heaven joining Obi-Martin in opting for Old Trafford, there should be an intriguing edge to the game and one that the Gunners will be hoping they can come out on top in.
