Arsenal now know the path they have to navigate in order to land the Premier League title next season.
Arsenal’s Premier League fixtures have been announced ahead of the 2025-26 and Mikel Arteta’s planning will be well underway.
Preparations for the new season centre around their summer transfer business however, Carlos Cuesta’s departure from the coaching staff adds another piece of the puzzle to be solved.
Andrea Berta is still pursuing deals for strikers Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko, whilst Real Madrid winger Rodrygo is also on the club’s radar. It is important Arsenal have their business in place for their toughest period of the season…

Arsenal’s toughest run of fixtures during the 2025-26 season
Arsenal’s season opener is a tough trip to Old Trafford to face Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United before hosting newly-promoted Leeds United in the first game at the Emirates Stadium.
The first six fixtures represent the toughest stretch of the season for the Gunners with visits to Anfield and St James’s Park early in the campaign – two grounds that Arteta’s side notoriously struggle at.
| Arsenal’s opponent | Venue |
| Manchester United | Old Trafford |
| Leeds United | Emirates Stadium |
| Liverpool | Anfield |
| Nottingham Forest | City Ground |
| Manchester City | Etihad Stadium |
| Newcastle United | St James’s Park |
Sandwiched in between those trips is an encounter against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City where the Spaniard will be wanting revenge for their humiliation in North London last season.
The summer transfer window just took on even more importance for Berta and Arteta as they will want their targets through the door early in preparation for a daunting start to the campaign.
How Arsenal fared in their first six fixtures last season
Fans will now be debating for the next two months how many points they want from that tough opening set of fixtures.
Last season, Arsenal were unbeaten against the top six sides and if they can continue that record, it would represent a solid start to the new campaign.
| Opponent | Last season’s result |
| Manchester United (Away) | 1-1 draw (Rice) |
| Leicester City (Home) | 4-2 win (Martinelli, Trossard, Ndidi og, Havertz) |
| Liverpool (Away) | 2-2 draw (Martinelli, Merino) |
| Nottingham Forest (Home) | 3-0 win (Saka, Partey, Nwaneri) |
| Manchester City (Home) | 5-1 (Odegaard, Partey, Lewis-Skelly, Havertz, Nwaneri) |
| Newcastle United (Away) | 1-0 defeat |
Leeds United will enter the new season as the Championship winners and last season Leicester City held that title but were put to the sword in North London as Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard stole the show.
Arteta is under pressure to deliver trophies this season and his side will be looking to better their 11 points from a possible 18 from the respective fixtures last campaign.
