Arsenal are preparing for a tough trip to Old Trafford as they now trail Liverpool by 16 points as well as starting to look ahead to summer transfer plans.
Mohamed Salah’s goals has been a key difference between Arsenal and Liverpool this season in the Premier League title race and Mikel Arteta will look to add firepower to his squad this summer.
Fabrizio Romano claims Arsenal are favourites to sign Benjamin Sesko whilst the Gunners are ready pounce for Alexander Isak should he reject a new contract at Newcastle.
Arsenal have long term interest in Nico Williams and are already expected to bring Martin Zubimendi into their midfield to replace the outgoing Jorginho. However, Arteta will need to ensure that he is bringing the right players into the club.

Arsene Wenger delivered transfer warning in his first Arsenal interview
Arsene Wenger was appointed Arsenal manager in 1996 and quickly formed a reputation as having the ability to unearth some incredible talent from unknown areas of the footballing world.
However, during his first interview as Gunners boss, the French manager had some wise words regarding transfer recruitment which should serve as a reminder to Arteta and Arsenal this summer.
Wenger stated: “My target is to create a good team of course but when you buy big names everybody is full of hope and many times you will be disappointed, you cannot buy success.”
The Arsenal legend continued to explain how big clubs throwing money into transfers doesn’t guarantee trophy success.
Wenger explained: “Really big clubs who have a lot of money have waited for success for 30 years, Real Madrid has a lot of money but didn’t win the Champions cup [Champions League] for 30 years.”
Of course things have changed since for the Spanish side but Wenger’s comments prove that the Gunners cannot afford to just splash the cash this summer, it needs to be on the right players and the right areas.
Wenger signed some top players for Arsenal
The list of incredible signings that Wenger made for Arsenal is endless and the majority of the time the transfer fees were well below what the player was eventually worth or sold on for.
Wenger’s top ten Arsenal signings included a free transfer of Sol Campbell and paying as little over £100k for title winning defender Kolo Toure.

Whilst it is unlikely Arteta can now unearth that sort of talent for such little transfer fee, the Spaniard should take the principle that Wenger was trying to install in his side, teams win trophies rather than individuals.
The Gunners are not far off from being a special team currently with the capabilities of winning major trophies, the right recruitment this summer could be the next step.
