Arsenal are looking to continue their excellent recent record against Manchester United by recording their sixth straight league victory.

Historically, Arsenal have always found Old Trafford a difficult ground to play at and Arsene Wenger was appalled by Ruud Van Nistelrooy and his behaviour during a famous 2003 clash.

Ruben Amorim has praised Mikel Arteta before the game and despite his side struggling in 14th in the Premier League, the Red Devils did knock the Gunners out of the FA Cup on penalties this season.

That game at the Emirates Stadium was a highly frustrating one for Arteta’s side with missed chances a plenty, one Arsenal player stood out that day and he needs to play in the upcoming game.

Jorginho should start for Arsenal vs Manchester United

Fans claimed Jorginho makes Arsenal ‘much better’ following his recent display against Nottingham Forest in a 0-0 draw.

In what is undoubtedly going to be a hostile atmosphere from the home crowd, Jorginho will bring a calmness to the Arsenal side both on the ball and with his exceptional leadership skills.

The Italian international has made 23 appearances in all competitions so far this season and Arteta would be wise to give him his 24th against United with his penetrative forward passing a key weapon in breaking down the Red Devils.

Arsenal fans were fuming with Thomas Partey in the Champions League victory over PSV after he gave away a needless penalty and his lapses in concentration would prove costly in such a huge game domestically.

Arsenal need to replace Jorginho in the summer

Jorginho has been linked with a move to Juventus and to Brazilian side Flamengo in the summer with his Arsenal contract expiring at the end of the season.

Having made 75 appearances for the Gunners and been a reliable figure since arriving at the Emirates, it is important Arsenal replace his experience and quality in the squad for next season.

Arsenal are expected to sign Martin Zubimendi in the summer and also held recent talks with Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich.

Whoever Arsenal do bring in, they have a lot to live up to in replacing Jorginho and the Gunners should be using his experience for games such as the trip to Old Trafford this weekend.
