Arsenal star Leandro Trossard has had a difficult start to the season for club and country, and is struggling for form.
Trossard has been heavily criticised in recent weeks, with the Belgian failing to replace Martin Odegaard in midfield, and was dropped to the bench against Chelsea.
Arsenal were drawing 1-1 at Chelsea when Trossard missed a last-second chance to score, with fans furious at the 29-year-old after the game.
The international break has not provided much reprieve for Trossard, with Belgium losing 1-0 to Italy, and the media in his country have now slammed his display.

Arsenal star Leandro Trossard criticised after Belgium lose 1-0 to Italy
Trossard started in midfield against Italy in their Nations League clash, and Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali scored the only goal of the game.
The Arsenal star’s performance has now been slammed by Belgian outlet Wallfoot, who claimed that his first-half display was only worthy of a 1/10 match rating, but gave him 3.5/10 overall.
“If the match had stopped after 45 minutes, Leandro Trossard would have obtained 1/10 for the attendance record,” they claimed.
“Fortunately, its second period, with several inspired strikes and a little dynamism, saved the whole. This is still largely insufficient for the team’s creative background alone.”
Leandro Trossard improved in second half of Belgium defeat
Despite his poor form, there is hope for Arsenal and Trossard, as the attacker came alive in the second half.
The 29-year-old fired in three shots and created three chances, with Romelu Lukaku failing to convert one of them, and Trossard drew praise from Belgium fans after the game.
His improvement in the second half may indicate that after hitting a low point, Trossard is ready to fight back against his critics, and Arsenal will now hope that he can carry the energy from the latter part of his display into their next games.
Trossard’s age and form has many fans questioning his future, and if his form does not improve, Arsenal may have to move on from the player they signed from Brighton nearly two years ago.
