Arsenal made eight new signings in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners already had a great team with superstars like Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and William Saliba, but what they lacked was serious squad depth.
Andrea Berta identified that problem as soon as he arrived, and he became a fan favourite at Arsenal with the work he did in the summer.
All eight signings have impressed in one way or another so far, but one player seems to have caught Saka’s eye more than the others – Eberechi Eze.

Bukayo Saka says Eberechi Eze has fitted in like a glove at Arsenal
Arsenal signed Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace in a £67.5 million deal in the summer.
The Gunners seemed to have moved on from the England international after their initial interest. It seemed almost certain that he was on his way to Tottenham Hotspur.
However, in a move that Tim Sherwood called ‘disgusting’, Arsenal hijacked Spurs’ deal for Eze, and the attacker has been very good so far.
The 27-year-old scored his first Premier League goal against Crystal Palace last weekend, and that proved to be the winner.
Saka knows Eze very well, having played in the national team together, and he has now claimed that the latter has adapted perfectly at the Emirates.
He told Sky Sports: “He has fitted in like a glove, I would say. He’s happy, he’s playing, and he’s playing very well as well, which is important.
“So yeah, I’m happy to have him at Arsenal, and yeah, having a player that wants to be here and you know loves the club and he’s going to give everything for this club, like I said, that’s what you need.”
Arsenal’s new signings are all playing their part
It’s never ideal for a club to have eight new signings in the summer, but Arteta has made sure that everyone is playing their part.
As Saka said above, Eze has done well, while the likes of Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Zubimendi, who are the other two regular starters, have impressed as well.
Cristhian Mosquera has been brilliant in Saliba’s absence, while Noni Madueke was outstanding on the right wing when Saka was out injured.
Christian Norgaard has also done well in the few games that he has played, while Kepa Arrizabalaga kept a clean sheet in his only appearance. Arsenal fans have even been impressed by Piero Hincapie, despite the fact that he has barely played.
Arsenal are a much better team now thanks to their new signings, and that is why they are on top of the Premier League table.
