Kai Havertz returned to Stamford Bridge when Arsenal took on Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
The German forward came very close to taking a decisive mark on this Premier League clash. Kai Havertz had a first half goal ruled out by a tight VAR offside call.
The 25-year-old was also about to tap in a winner for the Gunners at the death, before Leandro Trossard stole the chance off his toes and horrified Mikel Arteta by missing the target.
As it was, the game ended 1-1 and it was not quite the glorious outing against his former club that Havertz will have been hoping for.

It seems clear now that German international has mixed feelings about his time with the Blues.
He scored the winning goal for the West London club in a Champions League final during this time there, undoubtedly the highlight of his career so far. However, Havertz has since admitted that winning the Champions League with Arsenal would mean more to him than his triumph with Chelsea did.
Chelsea fans on X perhaps sense that the striker does not still carry a great deal of affection for the club, and the feeling is clearly mutual, as two days after the draw with Arsenal they are still aiming jibes at the attacker.

Another admitted: “The thought of Havertz winning the league alone makes me want to vomit.”
One claimed: “Havertz deserves to suffer for what he put us through in Chelsea football club.”
Another Chelsea fan added: “I hate the fact that I forced myself to like Havertz when he was at Chelsea, I feel so embarrassed.”

However he is viewed at Stamford Bridge, Havertz has found a home at the Emirates Stadium, and has flourished under Arteta.
Micah Richards recently praised Havertz for the job that he does at the top of the pitch for the Gunners.
He can be relied upon to hold up the ball, create space for teammates with intelligent movement, and compete fiercely in his duels.
These attributes have seen him cement himself as the Gunner’s first choice striker.
Havertz even managed to equal an Arsenal record set by Robin van Persie earlier this season with his goalscoring exploits at the Emirates Stadium.
