Benjamin Sesko might already be regretting signing for Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal admired Sesko throughout the summer, with it being thought that the Slovenian striker would make the move to the Emirates.
Even Sesko thought he was going to sign for Arsenal, but when the Gunners chose Viktor Gyokeres, the 22-year-old had Newcastle United and Manchester United battling for him.
In the end, it was Ruben Amorim who landed the former RB Leipzig striker, an outcome that hasn’t benefited the player just yet.

Arsenal signed Gyokeres over Sesko due to their belief that the Swede would be more likely to hit the ground running.
Being five years Sesko’s senior, that’s exactly what has happened, with Gyokeres’ conversion rate in the Premier League already turning heads.
It’s not only the 27-year-old’s experience that has benefited him, as per the belief of Darren Bent, who said if Sesko were in Gyokeres’ position at Arsenal, he too would’ve scored.
“If he’d come to Arsenal, which is a stable environment, I’ve got no doubts he would have scored a goal already,” Bent said on talkSPORT.
“Look at Gyokeres like he’s in form. I mean, you look at three goals already.”
Gyokeres has three goals in four Premier League appearances, while Sesko is still getting up to speed, which is proving to be increasingly difficult in a Man United squad that is so poor.

Arsenal invited Sesko’s agents to the Emirates, showing how much they admired the player, but the bottom line was that Mikel Arteta needed instant success.
Four games in, and the Gunners’ decision is proving to be the right one, with Gyokeres being three goals ahead of the Man United striker already.

It’s been a tough start for Sesko, which largely hasn’t been any fault of his own, as very few Man United players are thriving right now.
It was a challenging environment for the 22-year-old to enter, with United’s struggles not something that will change overnight.
