Arsenal have travelled to Portugal to take on Sporting CP in the Champions League.
The Gunners have only won two of their first four games in the competition this season. Their latest fixture was a defeat against Inter Milan at the San Siro.
Mikel Arteta will be desperate to get back to winning ways, but the clash against Sporting at the Estádio Jose Alvalade will not be easy.
David Raya is well aware of the challenge in front of his side, and he has now had his say on Sporting’s most important player – Viktor Gyokeres.

Arsenal star David Raya delivers verdict on Viktor Gyokeres
Gyokeres is arguably the best striker in the world right now.
The Swede had a sensational debut campaign at Sporting in 2023/24, and he has continued his form to the current season as well.
Gyokeres has scored 24 times in all competitions for his club so far, and he will be a huge threat when Sporting host Arsenal on Tuesday night.
Before he left the club, Edu Gaspar had Gyokeres on his Arsenal transfer wish list, so the Gunners should know all about him.
Raya was asked about the striker in a press conference on Monday, and the Spaniard revealed what he thinks about Gyokeres.
He said, as relayed on HaytersTV: “We know his strengths. We know he runs a lot in behind, he scores a lot of goals in 1v1s and of course, he’s a top player, he’s in form.
“We are going to try and keep him very, very quiet. Don’t give him many chances.
“We have stepped up defensively, so hopefully we can do a great job and keep a clean sheet tomorrow. That will be the best thing for us.”

Arsenal are targeting another striker along with Gyokeres
Gyokeres’ performances for Sporting since he joined them have been sensational, and many Arsenal fans want Arteta to sign him.
However, the Swede is not the only name on the Gunners’ radar.
The report claims that Arsenal remain very interested in Alexander Isak of Newcastle United, and he would be an excellent signing as well.
It remains to be seen who Arteta will go for in 2025. A good performance from Gyokeres against Arsenal on Tuesday night could convince the Gunners boss to make a move to sign him.
However, for Arsenal’s sake, let’s hope that Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba will keep Gyokeres quiet.
