The domestic season is over, which means the June international fixtures are here, and Arsenal fans will get an opportunity to take a look at some of the North London club’s transfer targets.

Arsenal have eleven players called up to represent their nations over the next two weeks, including the likes of Myles Lewis-Skelly, Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri.

Meanwhile, nine members of Mikel Arteta’s squad are already on holiday and looking ahead to pre-season, which will commence at the beginning of July.

Interest from Arsenal fans in World Cup qualifiers and the Nations League is relatively minimal, and thus, they may instead opt to watch some of the players being linked with a move to the Emirates.

With that said, here’s a look at some of the most prominent Arsenal transfer targets called up for duty and how to watch them.

Spain – Martin Zubimendi and Nico Williams

Arsenal are set to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, with the deal expected to go through in July.

Mikel Arteta also wants to sign Nico Williams this summer, although some potential stumbling blocks may prevent that deal from materialising.

Both players have been called up by Luis de la Fuente for Spain’s Nations League semi-final clash with France, which takes place on Thursday.

Rodri hasn’t made the squad after only just recovering from his ACL injury, meaning Zubimendi is likely to start in the Manchester City man’s absence.

Slovenia – Benjamin Sesko

Benjamin Sesko is one of Arsenal’s primary striker targets, with some reports emerging last week suggesting the Gunners have initiated concrete talks with the player.

The RB Leipzig number nine will be in action for Slovenia on Friday night against Luxembourg, before playing Bosnia and Herzegovina next week, as the Eastern European nation looks to qualify for next year’s World Cup.

Sweden – Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak

Alongside Sesko, Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Viktor Gyokeres.

However, Gyokeres has pulled out of the Sweden squad for their games against Hungary and Algeria after sustaining a ‘minor knock’, which has merely fuelled the transfer speculation.

Alexander Isak remains a dream target for Arteta, although he wasn’t named in the Scandinavian country’s squad due to injury.

England – Ollie Watkins

Arsenal tried to sign Ollie Watkins in January, but ultimately opted not to meet Aston Villa’s £60 million price tag.

The England international remains on Arsenal’s wish list, and he’ll be in action later this week for the Three Lions, alongside Lewis-Skelly, Saka and Declan Rice.

Germany – Leroy Sane

Leroy Sane has emerged as a surprise target for the Gunners in the last week or so, with his contract at Bayern Munich set to expire.

The German has been named in Julian Nagelsmann’s latest squad, and Die Mannschaft take on Portugal in the Nations League on Wednesday night.

Portugal – Rafael Leao

Rafael Leao has been mooted as a potential candidate to fill the wide forward role Arsenal are looking for.

The AC Milan man will face Sane for Portugal on Wednesday.

Spain under-21s – Cristhian Mosquera

Cristhian Mosquera is among Arsenal’s centre-back targets this summer, with the Valencia man producing a fine season in La Liga.

The 20-year-old has been named in Spain’s under-21 squad for this summer’s European Championships, which Nwaneri will also be playing in.

Gunners supporters will be able to get a good look at the prospect, as one of the tournament favourites face Italy, Slovakia and Romania in the group stage.
