Eberechi Eze is not the only player who chose to join Arsenal over Tottenham Hotspur.
The England international was on the verge of signing for Spurs in the summer, but as soon as he heard that the Gunners wanted him, he decided to make the Emirates Stadium his new home.
Thomas Frank aimed a subtle dig at Eze in his press conference on Friday, and he fired friendly shots at two other Arsenal players too – David Raya and Christian Norgaard.

Thomas Frank jokingly calls David Raya and Christian Norgaard ‘traitors’ ahead of Arsenal vs Tottenham
Raya and Norgaard both played under Thomas Frank at Brentford.
In fact, both players started for the Bees in their first-ever Premier League game – a 2-0 win against Arsenal back on the opening day of the 2021/22 season.
Raya left Brentford in 2023 and was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich. However, the Spaniard chose Arsenal in the end.
Norgaard was also linked with a reunion with Frank at Tottenham in the summer, but once he heard of Arsenal’s interest, he only wanted the Gunners.
That must still be playing on the Spurs boss’ mind, as when he was reminded that Raya and Norgaard, along with Bukayo Saka and Ben White, played in that famous Brentford game against Arsenal, he had a jovial go at them.
“So they were the four players that day? Oh OK. Two of them are now traitors and have moved to the wrong club,” he said in his press conference before laughing.
David Raya could be key for Arsenal as they hope to beat Tottenham again
Arsenal have won five of their last six games against Tottenham, and they will be keen to continue their good run against their fierce rivals.
All the focus will be on attacking players because Spurs will sit deep and absorb pressure for large parts of the game.
But they will look to counter-attack whenever they can in the North London Derby.
What is your prediction for the North London Derby?
Arsenal’s defence will have to be wary of that threat, but Raya will also need to be alert to keep his former manager’s men at bay.
The Spaniard has been very good all season and has already pulled off a few incredible saves.
However, the North London Derby is the most important game at the moment, and a clean sheet against Spurs will feel a lot sweeter than all the other wins this season.
