Arsenal are set to complete the signing of Viktor Gyokeres following a lengthy negotiation period with Sporting Lisbon.
Andrea Berta has had to earn his money after being locked in talks with the Portuguese side over initial fees and add-ons but an agreement has now been reached.
Arsenal fans are excited to see Gyokeres after some were already spotted mimicking his famous goal celebration during the Gunners pre-season victory over AC Milan.
Whilst it is clear that the Swede is being brought in to to fire Arsenal to a first Premier League title in 22 years, a former Hale End star has revealed exactly what it is like to play with and against Gyokeres.

Brooke Norton-Cuffy reveals what it was like to play with Viktor Gyokeres
Speaking to talkSPORT, former Gunners defender Brooke Norton-Cuffy has revealed what it was like to play with Arsenal’s pending striker arrival.
Norton-Cuffy spent a season on loan at Coventry City and was joined in the side by Gyokeres as the club reached the play-off final.
When asked about Gyokeres as a player, Norton-Cuffy stated: “Vik [Gyokeres] that season in the Championship was a joke. He was so good there were teams putting two or three players on him and still managing to beat them or find a way to score or create chances out of nothing really.
“Vik’s powerful, he’s like 6’3 but he can move, can change direction quickly, he can run at you, can beat you and then once he creates those chances normally he puts them away.”
Norton-Cuffy is now with Patrick Vieira playing in Serie A at Genoa but the 21-year-old has absolutely no doubt that Gyokeres will be a success in North London.
With title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City strengthening their squads this summer, it is vital that Arsenal hit the ground running heading into the new campaign.
Viktor Gyokeres has also played alongside Ben White
Norton-Cuffy is not the only Arsenal link in Gyokeres’s career so far after the Swede spent some time with Ben White at Brighton.
White and Gyokeres became good friends as they made their way through the academy at Brighton before eventually taking different career paths.

Arsenal fans were impressed with White during the recent clash with AC Milan and in particular his link-up play with Bukayo Saka on the right wing.
Gyokeres will be hoping that continues as he will be waiting in the box for quality service to provide the goals that the Gunners crave.
