Arsenal head to Anfield in search of three points to secure their place in the Champions League next season.

Mikel Arteta’s side will need to bounce back from their disappointing defeat in Paris and Arteta gave a defiant message to his players following the Champions League exit.

Arne Slot praised David Raya for his performance against PSG and also confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold will be missing for Liverpool.

Paul Merson believes Arsenal will lose at Anfield and fellow pundits Gary Neville and Roy Keane have had their say on the match between the Premier League’s top two sides.

Gary Neville and Roy Keane’s Liverpool v Arsenal predictions

Speaking on the latest episode of the ‘Stick to Football’ podcast, Neville and Keane have disagreed over the outcome of Arsenal’s trip to Anfield.

Keane stated: “There will be goals in this,” before going for a 2-1 Liverpool score line, Ian Wright agreed with Keane on the game being entertaining with lots of goals.

Meanwhile, Neville has predicted a more cagey affair and agreed with fellow pundit Jill Scott in going for a 0-0 draw between the two sides.

Neville pointed to the fact that Liverpool already have the title wrapped up and may not be at their best as they begin to think about a summer break.

How Arsenal can hurt Liverpool

The Gunners still have a lot riding on the game as they require one more win to guarantee a top five finish.

Victory at Anfield would also lay down a marker for Arteta’s side ahead of next season and secure their first away win at Liverpool since 2013.

Bukayo Saka was on the score sheet in the reverse fixture at the Emirates Stadium and he caused left back Andrew Robertson all sorts of problems with his pace and movement.

Arsenal should target Liverpool’s left back area with Ben White coming into the team to link up with Saka and Martin Odegaard.
