How Arsenal really felt about Conor McGregor antics at the Emirates and what they warned him

Conor McGregor was seen on the Emirates Stadium pitch in the aftermath of Arsenal’s win over PSG on Tuesday night. 

Arsenal were able to record a comfortable victory over PSG in North London.

The Gunners sent out a statement of intent with this Champions League triumph over one of the competition’s most high profile sides.

As he so often is, Bukayo Saka was one of the stars of the show for Mikel Arteta’s side. Saka impressed Arsenal fans as he yet again stepped up and delivered against elite opposition, scoring the hosts’ second goal of the game. 

Saka boasts a remarkable Champions League record, and has adapted to the demands of the tournament despite only making his debut in the competition last season. If the Gunners are to go far in the Champions League this time around, then their talismanic Hale End academy graduate will play a huge role in their progress.

Arsenal sent warning to Conor McGregor after Bukayo Saka interaction

Saka is often the centre of attention. The England international is a bona fide superstar these days and draws others towards him. 

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor made his way onto the Emirates Stadium turf after the final whistle and interacted with Saka, initiating a play fight with the forward and aiming kicks at him.

Arsenal fans were not pleased with McGregor’s behaviour, and nor were the club themselves. 

As reported by The Irish Mirror: “McGregor wasn’t a guest of Arsenal, that he was there through a third party and that he made his own way down to the pitch after the game.

“And it’s believed that he was asked to leave the pitch after a couple of minutes. It does seem as if there was nothing prearranged about McGregor making himself the story…Don’t expect to see him on the Emirates pitch a second time.”

Journalist Kieran Cunningham then claimed on X: “Arsenal are embarrassed by Conor McGregor’s antics on the Emirates pitch on Tuesday night.”

Arsenal’s famous fans

McGregor is not the only famous face to have taken an interest in Arsenal recently.

Arsenal have many famous fans, though most don’t force their way onto the pitch at the end of games. 

However, Justin Bieber met the Arsenal players during pre-season, and there has been recent controversy surrounding how Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer takes in games at the Emirates Stadium.
