Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has shut down talk over a move for Marcus Rashford ahead of the January transfer window next month.
The Gunners head into the market next month with a forward on their radar, following difficulties they’ve found in breaking teams down and scoring.
With Marcus Rashford’s potential Manchester United exit, plenty of talk has surrounded a potential switch to Arsenal.
The Gunners had shown some interest in the summer, though the England international never made the switch to the Emirates Stadium.
With a change of management at Old Trafford, Rashford has been linked with a move to Arsenal, as transfer talk continues to amp up.
A deal looks incredibly unlikely though as Arsenal Insider understands the Gunners aren’t looking to sign Rashford.
Despite that, the talk over his future only continues to link the 27-year-old, a move that Mikel Arteta wasn’t keen to elaborate on.

Mikel Arteta responds to Marcus Rashford transfer question
With transfer speculation continuing over the future of Rashford, Arteta was quizzed over a potential deal.
The Arsenal boss has a record of picking up players who had been struggling, and turning them around into stars for his own team.
With a possible deal for Rashford offering a chance to do that again, the head coach shut down any talk over a deal.
He told the press ahead of his side’s match with Crystal Palace: “No [he won’t talk about Rashford] and you know that I won’t talk about players from other clubs”
Given Arsenal’s stance is that a deal won’t be on the cards, it’s yet more indication from the manager that a transfer is unlikely to go ahead.
That’s not to say that a centre-forward or another forward option isn’t at least on their radars for a potential opportunity.

Who are Arsenal targeting in the transfer market?
It’s clear that Arsenal need more firepower in their ranks, but what isn’t clear is exactly who they may end up signing.
A clinical centre-forward is one option, though within that are quite a few different names on the cards for the coming windows.
Alexander Isak, Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres have all been linked with Arsenal, with the ability to find goals for their current teams.
With different attributes and skill sets, along with varying ages and injury records, there are some big calls to be made.
Which one the side picks remains to be seen, while a deal for any of them in January currently appears unlikely – with a summer move more likely.
