Injury update on Rodri after Arsenal match

Manchester City star Rodri was a casualty for the side when they take on Arsenal in the big Premier League title clash over the weekend.

The midfielder went down to the ground during a corner for the home side, having competed with Thomas Partey in the box.

While little to no contact was made, the Spaniard appeared to be in some discomfort, grabbing his knee and calling for medical attention.

Rodri was eventually withdrawn, but there are fears that the Man City man may have caused some damage to his anterior cruciate ligament – which takes roughly nine months to recover from.

This was backed up by an injury expert, coming as a huge blow to both the player and the club in their trophy aims this season.

Ian Wright slams Erling Haaland after what he did against Arsenal

Arsenal’s clash with Manchester City was a feisty one at the Etihad Stadium as tempers flared on many different occasions.

One such flashpoint came at the end of the game as John Stones drew his side level with virtually the last kick of the game.

Erling Haaland was seen picking up the ball from the back of the net before throwing it at the head of Gabriel Magalhaes.

Following the kick-off and a caution for the striker, the two almost came to blows as they faced off with anger.

It was a moment that former Arsenal star Ian Wright was far from happy with, saying on Instagram: “You know what really boiled me up properly was Haaland’s coward’s move.

“Throwing the ball at Gabi’s head when he’s not looking, when Gabi’s back is turned to him. A real coward’s move.”

Gabriel overtakes Darwin Nunez goal scoring record

Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes was in the centre of the action over the past week during tough ties against Tottenham and Manchester City.

While his defensive interventions have been vitally important, it’s his goal-scoring that has been the centre of attention for many.

The Brazilian has now scored two in the last two Premier League games, earning some vital points for the Gunners.

It’s such an impressive record, that his recent efforts have seen him overtake Darwin Nunez with goals against the big six – four goals to the striker’s three.
