Arsenal star Jorginho has officially announced his exit from the club as a free agent at the end of his contract this summer.

The midfielder has been a regular presence in the squad since making the switch from London rivals Chelsea in January 2023.

Jorginho added experience in the heart of midfield, capable of dictating the tempo of matches and controlling how they played out.

While he wasn’t always starting matches at Arsenal, the Italian international certainly played his part.

One such occasion recently saw Jorginho coaching his Arsenal teammates through a match while warming up on the sidelines.

With his stint at the club now coming to an end, the star has taken to social media to confirm his exit.

Jorginho confirms his Arsenal transfer exit with social media message

Jorginho will leave Arsenal at the end of his contract this summer, with a new adventure around the corner for both parties.

As it stands, Jorginho is expected to join Flamengo in Brazil as a free agent, which will allow him to compete in the Club World Cup this summer.

With the move awaiting confirmation, the midfielder himself has sent a message to supporters on his exit.

Taking to Instagram, he said in a voiceover video: “You know, sometimes the season is more than just football. It’s about moments. People. Growth.

“It’s about feeling part of something bigger than yourself. When I arrived at Arsenal, I wasn’t just joining a club, I was stepping into a family.

“A team full of hunger. Passion. Purpose.

“I gave everything I had every day, every match, not just for the results, but for this shirt, for the fans.

“Your support, it meant everything. Whether I was starting or on the bench, you made me feel valued, loved. That’s right in football, and I will never forget.

“Now, it’s time to say goodbye, or maybe see you soon. When a place feels like home, a farewell is never easy, but I leave with my head held high and my heart full.

“To my teammates, thank you for trusting me, for pushing me. To the coach, the staff, and the whole people behind the scenes, thank you for the support on the pitch, off the pitch, and for always be there for me with kindness and love.

“And to the fans, thank you for singing my name, for believing me. Thank you, Arsenal.”

It’s a touching, heartfelt message to send, with Jorginho finishing up his career with Arsenal to try out something new.
