Catch all the latest Arsenal news today, including updates on William Saliba’s injury, a David Raya claim and Bryan Mbeumo’s transfer.
Mikel Arteta is taking some of his final training sessions of the season with his Arsenal side as they prepare for the last game of the Premier League season this weekend.
The Gunners travel to already relegated Southampton, knowing that second place is already secured, along with qualification for the Champions League.
For some players, it may be the final chance they have to play in the red of Arsenal before they wave farewell.
That’s because the transfer window is just around the corner, with Andrea Berta looking to make some sweeping changes to the squad.
So with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal news ahead of another busy day.
Mikel Arteta reveals William Saliba injury extent
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has revealed that star defender William Saliba will miss out on the final clash of the season against Southampton.
The Frenchman was withdrawn from the victory over Newcastle with a hamstring problem, which will now keep him out of action for a few weeks.
Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, Arteta said on Saliba: “William [Saliba] is going to be out for a few weeks, unfortunately. He pulled his hamstring against Newcastle, so he’s going to be out for a few weeks.”

Jurrien Timber will also miss out due to ankle surgery, as Arteta added: “Jurrien had surgery yesterday on his ankle, so he’ll be out for a few weeks as well.”

Ian Wright picks David Raya in Arsenal player of the season call
Arsenal legend Ian Wright has claimed that David Raya should be in the conversation to be the player of the season for 2024/25.
It comes as many have suggested that Declan Rice should be awarded the honour, following some impressive displays.
When asked who his Arsenal player of the season would be, Wright said on the Stick to Football podcast: “Probably, you know, the fans, it’d be tough to go against Declan [Rice], but you know, if it’s David Raya, you’d probably say, yeah, I could see that.
“Because as much as Declan has done this season, he’s eight out of ten in nearly all the games for us, I think David Raya not playing would have caused us a lot of problems.”

Thomas Frank refuses to rule out Bryan Mbeumo transfer
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo ahead of the summer transfer window.
The winger was admired in January, but the Gunners were unable to get a deal done with the Bees, who wanted to keep hold of him.
Now, ahead of the summer, manager Thomas Frank has seemingly suggested that a move could be on the cards for Mbeumo.
On the future of the Cameroonian international, Frank said: “Let’s see, we all love him, I watch him every day and he comes in with a big smile and trains with a big smile, he loves to be a Brentford player, but let’s see.”
