Catch all the latest Arsenal news, including updates on Mikel Arteta’s transfer message to Andrea Berta, Bukayo Saka’s praise of Myles Lewis-Skelly and Jurrien Timber.

Arsenal fell to another disappointing home defeat at the hands of Bournemouth as Mikel Arteta’s side have become embroiled in a battle to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Declan Rice’s strike looked to set the Gunners on their way to an important victory but could not prevent a second half comeback from the Cherries.

It now leaves Arsenal fighting for a top five finish in the Premier League and adds more misery to an underwhelming domestic campaign.

So with that said, here’s a look at the latest news ahead of another big day.

Mikel Arteta’s transfer message to Andrea Berta

Arteta could not hide his frustration at Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth and speaking to Sky Sports after the game, the Gunners boss sent a clear message to Andrea Berta for the summer window.

The Gunners missed multiple opportunities to extend their lead over the Cherries but suffered a familiar fate this season by allowing their opponents back into the game.

Arteta stated: ““The reality is that we didn’t [take our chances] we had so many open situations where we opened them up, big spaces, big opportunities to score but we didn’t.”

The lack of a striker has cost Arsenal all season and the issue has to be addressed in the upcoming transfer window.

Bukayo Saka’s praise for Myles Lewis-Skelly

Bukayo Saka has heaped praise on fellow Hale End graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly in an interview with Sky Sports.

Saka stated: “Myles is another one, man. Sometimes I look at him, he’s 18 years old, he’s playing these types of games like he has been playing for years.

“Especially the two legs against Real Madrid, how solid he was, how confident he was getting the ball in the midfield, driving through…

“I’m so proud of him and to see the steps he is making. It’s scary how far he can go.”

Jurrien Timber misses Arsenal’s clash with Bournemouth

Jurrien Timber is a doubt for the huge Champions League semi-final second leg with PSG after missing the game against Bournemouth.

The Dutch defender suffered a knock during the first leg at the Emirates Stadium but had to be replaced by Ben White in the starting eleven.

Timber was seen in the stands during the game but Arteta has since revealed that the defender is a ‘doubt’ for the clash in Paris.
