Speaking to England’s official YouTube on Lions’ Den, Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw shared the behind-the-scenes details of how Bukayo Saka enjoyed the win.

Presenter Josh Denzel said that he heard Saka was dancing on the plane and Shaw shared a joke to confirm: “He was a little bit, he was a bit louder than usual. He was vibing on his own and he was dancing.”

The Arsenal winger came out defending saying: “Why are you doing this to me, man?”

Shaw went on to say that it was “deserved” after his stellar performance.

Touching on the England fans singing his song, Saka said that he even gets carried away when he hears it on the pitch after they started singing it in the qualifying stages.

“It’s a lovely song. It has that sound, I can hear it straight away when I’m on the pitch. Like I always say, I get carried away singing it sometimes,” he said.

Praise for Bukayo Saka’s Euro 2024 performance against Switzerland

The Arsenal talisman recorded his 11th MOTM award in just 28 starts for England.

England captain and former Spurs man Harry Kane was full of praise for Saka after salvaging their semi-final spot in Germany.

Kane said on Saka’s performance: “Fantastic finish from B, he deserves that, unbelievable, to play a new position as well.

“To play the way he did for all 120 minutes, not just with the ball but without the ball as well, you could see at the end he was knackered. Then to show and step up and do what he had done and score the penalty in the manner that he had done, really special.”

Saka had plenty to say after the game, but he also singled out former Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka after the game, posting on Instagram with the caption: “Top Guy. Top Player.”
