Max Dowman is ‘progressing well’ towards Arsenal return
Max Dowman is progressing well in his recovery from an ankle injury and could soon be back for Arsenal, according to The Sun.
The 16-year-old suffered the injury during a behind-closed-doors friendly against Manchester United in North London.
So far this season, Arteta has given the youngster five appearances, including his Champions League debut against Slavia Prague.
After losing Saka to injury, Noni Madueke is currently Arsenal’s only out-and-out right winger option; therefore, having Dowman back is a huge boost.
Gabriel Martinelli also played there against Leeds and assisted Viktor Gyokeres’ goal following a cross from the right wing.
Last week, Arsenal got Dowman to sign a scholarship deal to secure the future of Hale End’s most exciting young talent since Saka.
