Gabriel Jesus has had a very tricky 2025 with injury, and now Mikel Arteta has set a firm stance on the Brazilian’s future at Arsenal.

All the way back in January, Jesus suffered an ACL injury during an FA Cup clash against Manchester United.

But last week, Jesus finally returned to full Arsenal training and is now preparing to make his long-awaited return for the Gunners.

Ahead of his comeback from injury, Mikel Arteta has been making one thing very clear about the striker, with the January transfer window just around the corner.

Gabriel Jesus will not be leaving Arsenal in January

Arteta has made it clear that Gabriel Jesus will not be leaving Arsenal during the January transfer window, despite the Gunners now having three strikers.

Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett claims that the 28-year-old was one of Everton’s targets, but the striker now appears to be out of reach for the Toffees.

It’s clear that he remains a key part of the Spanish manager’s plans at the Emirates Stadium, and a move away in the winter window looks set to be blocked.

Currently, the striker is due back at the start of December, but Jesus could target a first start against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup on December 23.

Arteta’s team face a heavily congested fixture list; therefore, rotation will be key for the Gunners over the next few months.

Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres are both struggling with injuries as well, so Arteta will be wary of making sure he does not sell him short in attack by letting any of his options leave.

Jesus could be a good option for Arsenal, and he will surely be coming back with great motivation to make a late push for Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad.

Gabriel Jesus is looking sharp in Arsenal training

Gabriel Jesus has been looking sharp in Arsenal training since making his return from injury, with some great finishes posted by the club.

Arsenal fans will surely remember the Jesus who made a flying start to his career in N5 back in 2022, getting 11 goal contributions in his first 12 matches.

If the Gunners can get that version back, then surely the Brazilian could look to push Havertz and Gyokeres for a starting spot.
