Mikel Arteta has revealed that Martin Odegaard will be out for a ‘few weeks’, while Martin Zubimendi will be available for Arsenal’s clash against Fulham.
The Gunners travel to West London to take on Marco Silva’s side on Saturday afternoon, looking to cement their place at the summit of the Premier League table.
Odegaard will miss the visit to Craven Cottage after sustaining an MCL injury before the international break against West Ham.
Meanwhile, Arsenal fans were concerned about Zubimendi’s fitness after the Spaniard was captured standing on the sidelines during training and not taking part in the open session on Thursday morning.
However, Arteta has eased these concerns by confirming that the midfield metronome will be involved against Fulham.

Mikel Arteta provides injury updates on Martin Odegaard, Martin Zubimendi, Kai Havertz and Ben White
Odegaard isn’t expected to return until after the November international break, although Arteta appeared to hint at a slightly more optimistic timeline than that.
Speaking in his press conference on Friday morning, the coach revealed that the Norwegian will be back in action in a ‘few weeks’.
“It will be weeks,” Arteta said.
“There is no definite date for his return. He will be back in a few weeks.”
Meanwhile, the tactician also spoke on Zubimendi’s fitness status: “Yeah, all the players coming from different countries, different amounts of minutes played, it was the right thing to do [leave him out of Thursday’s training session]. He will be available.”
Ben White is another Arsenal player who is struggling with his fitness, and Arteta produced a coy response on the Englishman, merely saying that the situation was ‘similar with him’.
Kai Havertz has impressed people at Arsenal with his work during his rehabilitation from his most recent injury, and the German could now make a swifter return than first thought.
“There is still a lot to do in his rehab,” Arteta said on the former Chelsea man.
“He is really pushing it, but we have to wait and see. He wants to break every timeline, I am sure. But we have to protect him and make sure that when he comes back, he comes back for the long-term.”
