Emile Smith Rowe and Martin Odegaard have both now used the same single word to sum up one of their Arsenal teammates.

Emile Smith Rowe and Martin Odegaard have both now given their verdict on their Arsenal teammate Ben White.

White recently penned a new long-term contract with Arsenal. The right-back has been in sensational form in recent weeks, and is one of the most consistent performers in Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Week in, week out, the 26-year-old gives his all for the Gunners. Even when White had to play through pain for a period earlier in the season, he still didn’t let the north London club down.

Former Arsenal centre-back Rob Holding has previously hailed White’s ability to play even whilst carrying an injury. He is not the only one to have noticed this fighting spirit in the full-back either.

Following the announcement of his new contract, several Arsenal stars were invited to share their thoughts on White. In a video posted by the club on X, Smith Rowe, club captain Odegaard, and Gabriel Martinelli all described White as being a “warrior.” Smith Rowe also stated that the England man would do “anything for the team.”

What Ben White brings to Arsenal

Arteta clearly values White’s mentality highly. He certainly leans heavily on the player’s durability, as he starts practically every game for the north London club. White’s tactical flexibility is also a virtue, as he was recently tasked with adopting a new set of tactical instructions in order to accommodate the inclusion of Jakub Kiwior in the starting XI. On top of that, he can comfortably slot in as a centre-back if required.

On the pitch, White has struck up a particularly effective partnership with Bukayo Saka. The right-back knows how to effectively create space for the 22-year-old winger, and offer support, with well-timed runs up the flank. Arsenal are an incredibly effective attacking force up that side of the pitch, largely due to the chemistry that this duo share.

White is appreciated by his teammates, and looks set to be a key figure at Arsenal for a long time to come.

It is now vital that he is able to stay fit and in-form for the rest of the current campaign, especially with both Jurrien Timber and Takehiro Tomiyasu having struggled with injury issues this season.
