A round-up of the latest Arsenal news, including updates on Kylian Mbappe, Emile Smith Rowe’s injury and Kieran Tierney’s verdict on Martin Zubimendi.
Thierry Henry responds to Kylian Mbappe to Arsenal transfer
Kylian Mbappe‘s links with a move to Arsenal continue to ramp up as the PSG star nears the final few months of his contract. The Gunners appear to be in the market for a forward ahead of the summer transfer window, with the Frenchman a potential option.
Recent reports have stated that Mbappe would be open to joining Arsenal, emulating an idol of his in Thierry Henry. The former Gunners forward was questioned on that as part of the CBS Sports Champions League coverage.
“What are you looking at me for?” Henry responded when asked about the claims. “I don’t know, really. I don’t have those insights. No I don’t, I don’t know where he’s going to go like everybody.”
It remains to be seen exactly how the saga may play out regarding Mbappe and his future, but there’s still plenty of time for resolution before the summer transfer window.

Emile Smith Rowe injury timeline
Arsenal were handed a major blow before their clash with West Ham, as Emile Smith Rowe was ruled out due to a fresh injury. The Hale End academy graduate had rolled his ankle in training, resulting in his absence.
Fortunately, he could be back in contention to face Burnley in the next game for the Gunners. That’s according to Charles Watts, who claims that the forward may be fit enough to make the squad once again.
Discussing the injury, Watts claimed: “Smith Rowe’s ankle will be monitored this week to see if he could be involved against Burnley on Saturday. But even if he is unable to feature against Vincent Kompany’s side, he will not be sidelined for long and that will be a boost to Arsenal with the big games now coming thick and fast.”

Kieran Tierney verdict on Arsenal transfer target
Kieran Tierney has discussed Real Sociedad playmaker Martin Zubimendi amid links with a switch to Arsenal. The Scotland international is currently on loan with La Real, where he has been a teammate of the midfielder.
In an interview with the Guardian, Tierney had some words of praise for Zubimendi, claiming: “You have world-class players like [Martín] Zubimendi, [Mikel] Merino, Brais [Méndez].
“It’s not that people don’t think they’re good; it’s just that if you’re only watching the Premier League every week, it’s hard to know. They’re world class, and for so many to come from the academy is incredible.”
