Thierry Henry has sent a heartfelt message to Arsenal following their Premier League title win.

The greatest player in the club’s history reposted a club graphic to his Instagram story upon the full-time whistle at Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

Then, on Wednesday morning, he posted a carousel of pictures of his own, including himself in a retro Arsenal shirt and a tifo at the Emirates.

Captioning the Instagram post, Henry wrote, “Arsenal Nation, finally we can celebrate. Special thanks to this generation — finally now my kids saw us winning a title. #goonerforlife.”

He is of course referring to his children not being born the last time Arsenal were champions.

Now they have witnessed it, and for him, that’s as much a part of the celebration as anything else.

Viktor Gyokeres, Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber were among the first 100,000 users to like the post within half an hour of it going up.

David Raya led the tributes in the comments, sending three red heart emojis, while Eberechi Eze left a simple one-word comment, “Yes”.

Thierry Henry has been far from alone in marking the moment.

Jorginho FaceTimed Bukayo Saka as the celebrations got underway, while Dani Ceballos singled out Mikel Arteta personally in a touching tribute on X.

Granit Xhaka also wrote a classy message on Instagram, while Mesut Ozil also congratulated his former club.

Even Nicolas Bendtner got in on the act, urging the squad to complete the double, while Oleksandr Zinchenko posted a simple message on his story.
