Arsenal are yet to open contract talks with William Saliba and Bukayo Saka

As per The Athletic, Arsenal are yet to open contract talks with Saliba or Saka with both contracts due to expire in the summer of 2027.

It puts the club under immense pressure to negotiate new deals with the duo given that they could negotiate to leave on a free transfer come January 2027.

Liverpool are currently in the same worrying scenario with their stars such as Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk and Arsenal will do well to tie down their key men or cash in whilst their value is still high.

Real Madrid are interested in Saliba amid fears that the French international could pursue his dream of playing at the Bernabeu, whilst the Gunners are hopeful that Saka will return to the squad in mid-March.

Arsenal need to appoint a new Sporting Director quickly

Edu Gaspar resigned from his role as Sporting Director and the club are yet to appoint a permanent successor with Jason Ayto filling the void on an interim basis.

Ayto failed to impress in the January transfer window with Arsenal fans furious at the board for the lack of support to the manager with reinforcements.
