Arsenal are stuck in an injury rut at present, with Viktor Gyokeres waiting to learn his fate ahead of the North London Derby.

The November international break has added to Arsenal’s injury crisis at present, with Gabriel Magalhaes the latest to join the list of absentees.

Gabriel could miss weeks with a groin injury, making his chances of playing in the North London Derby very slim.

Sadly, Mikel Arteta may not just be without his star centre-back, but his star striker too, as a fresh update has emerged about Gyokeres.

Trusted Arsenal insider, Hand of Arsenal, took to X to reveal that the Swede ‘remains a doubt’ to feature against Tottenham.

The news came as a real blow to fans, as earlier this week, it was understood that Arsenal were hopeful that Gyokeres would be fit to face Spurs

It would be a real shame for the 27-year-old to miss his first North London Derby, and an even greater shame for Arteta’s side, who could be without their number nine.

Kai Havertz could return as a hero for Arsenal

While the news is a real concern, it’s not all doom and gloom, as a host of players are set to be ready to return for the fixture.

One of whom is Kai Havertz, who will be challenging Gyokeres for the starting spot in the striker role.

Havertz could make his return against Spurs to cover for Gyokeres’ expected absence, with the opportunity there for the German to announce his return in a game that matters most to fans.

Will Arteta take a risk and start Havertz? Or will another player become the hero?
