Arsenal beat Brentford in London Derby clash

Arsenal managed to come from behind to beat Brentford in a London Derby clash between the two sides on New Year’s Day.

The Gunners trailed early through Bryan Mbeumo, but goals from Gabriel Jesus, Mikel Merino and Gabriel Martinelli completed the turnaround.

It was a day to remember for many as Arsenal went back to second in the league, though one bizarre thing was spotted.

During the equaliser, the pair of Martin Odegaard and Jurrien Timber were spotted avoiding celebrations and instead rushed over to the touchline to discuss tactics with Mikel Arteta.

It was a moment where the Arsenal stars clearly felt that change was needed after a rocky start to the match.

Arsenal confirm Josh Robinson transfer switch

Arsenal have confirmed their first piece of business for the January transfer window, with Hale End academy youngster Josh Robinson leaving the club.

The right-back made a permanent switch to League One outfit Wigan Athletic on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

He told Wigan Athletic’s official website: “I am very excited to start my journey here.

“It’s a very big Club, and I am looking forward to seeing what the season holds. I just want to hit the ground running, and hopefully do well for the Football Club.”

The star is set for a new challenge, but he is unlikely to be the last academy player to make a switch this January.

Aston Villa join Arsenal in Randal Kolo Muani transfer race

Arsenal have been linked with a transfer for PSG striker Randal Kolo Muani during the January transfer window.

The forward has struggled in his time with Les Parisiens, which could open up the chance for a move over the next month.

Arsenal aren’t alone though, as L’Equipe reports that Aston Villa have joined them in the race along with Manchester United and Tottenham from the Premier League.

A price tag of £50million has been set on the forward, who can play on either flank or at centre-forward for the team.
