Arsenal are on the hunt for a new striker, but they aren’t the only team who are targeting another forward in the January transfer window.
Mikel Arteta has already stated that his side will only enter the market if there are the right opportunities available.
While it may be difficult to land top targets such as Alexander Isak or Matheus Cunha, there are some other options available to Arsenal.
One of those is Randal Kolo Muani, who has been linked with Arsenal, amid his struggles at PSG in recent months.
The Gunners aren’t the only team eyeing a possible move for the versatile forward though, during an awkward January transfer window.

Aston Villa join Arsenal in race for Randal Kolo Muani transfer
As Arsenal have been offered a transfer for Kolo Muani, they may face some stern competition for his signature.
According to a report from L’Equipe, Premier League rivals Aston Villa are also in the race to sign the Frenchman.
It’s claimed that PSG have set an asking price worth roughly £50million, which could be an affordable deal for some clubs.
It would be in Arsenal’s budget, however there’s no guarantee that the Gunners will want to trigger a permanent switch.
They may have to pounce quickly though, as along with Villa, there is interest from Tottenham, Manchester United, AC Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig.
It’s claimed that Germany is a likely destination, having previously impressed with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, though that could still change.

How Randal Kolo Muani would fit at Arsenal
Kolo Muani has struggled since joining PSG, though it’s clear that there is still an impressive player in there.
At Arsenal, they could unlock him in one of three positions, with the forward capable of playing on either flank as well as centre-forward.
Mikel Arteta could do with the extra pace in his front line, while he can be clinical if given a run of matches.
While Bukayo Saka is injured, it would make sense for Kolo Muani to feature on the right flank, though the long-term future may see him play up front.
Whether Arsenal want to make that move remains to be seen, though there is still plenty of time left in the transfer window.
