Arsenal’s transfer spending has been large this summer, as the club look to improve their squad for the challenges ahead.
Andrea Berta has spent roughly £250 million in the market, and there could be more to come, as two defenders are now being eyed.
While that could go a long way to helping Arsenal in their pursuit of glory, there is a balance that needs to be struck.
Potential outgoings have to follow any incomings, with five Arsenal players up for sale in the final week of the window.
That may well become six, though, if the Gunners continue to pursue one of their transfer targets.

Ben White could face Arsenal transfer exit if Arnau Martinez is signed
Arsenal are still chasing two potential defensive options in the summer transfer window, as it enters the final week.
One of the more likely options is Piero Hincapie, as Arsenal have shown an interest in landing the Bayer Leverkusen star.
The Ecuadorian international covers the left side of defence, which could open the door for Jakub Kiwior’s exit.
The right side could be a different story, as Arsenal are interested in Arnau Martinez of Girona, who can play as a right-back and centre-back.
If that move does go through for the reported £8.6 million, that may pave the way for an exit in the squad.
The most likely candidate, in that case, would be Ben White.
The 27-year-old has spent four years with the Gunners, having joined for £50 million from Brighton as part of the rebuild under Mikel Arteta.
White has been impressive when he has played for the side, but injuries have hampered him in recent seasons.
With no guarantee over his fitness during a long campaign, and the additions of Jurrien Timber and Cristhian Mosquera in the squad, the England international seems the most likely candidate for an exit, if it were to come.
A lot of that would depend on whether a move for Martinez is pursued beyond the early enquiries, as well as the need for some suitors to take White on.

Arsenal face Ben White transfer decision in the next year
Ben White has been an excellent servant to Arsenal since his move from Brighton, often solid when called upon.
The defender has pushed through the pain barrier for the team at times, but at the detriment of his own fitness.
With a deal that runs until 2028, there is no rush to make a decision on White and his future, but there may be some discussions over it in the next year.
Some of it will be determined by how much football he is able to play during a season that is set to be another busy one.
In that time, he will also enter the final two years, which are often key for any sale, as it will be the maximum value for him before the last year, which can often see players moved on for less.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for White, but he will have a battle to keep himself fit and to challenge for a starting spot.
