Arsenal head into the March 2026 international break off the back of a tough defeat in the Carabao Cup final, but it could still be a great season, with many impressive performances.
The Gunners remain well on course to win the Premier League title and are also going strong in both the Champions League and FA Cup.
Will Arsenal go unbeaten until the end of the season after the Carabao Cup final defeat?
Mikel Arteta’s team have not been the easiest to watch, hence some of the low ratings, but they have certainly been efficient in defence.
Now, with the international break upon us, Arsenal Insider takes a look at the Gunners’ star performers and which players must offer much more during the run-in.
Gabriel Magalhaes – 10/10
Gabriel Magalhaes could go down as one of the greatest Arsenal defenders in history alongside the likes of Sol Campbell and Tony Adams.
Not only has the Brazilian made the Gunners’ defence flawless, but his threat from set-pieces also makes him one of the most feared players in the league.
It’s a perfect 10/10 so far, and he is beating Declan Rice to the Player of the Season award.
Declan Rice – 9/10
Rice has been one of the best players in Europe this season, and his performances have earned him shouts for the Ballon d’Or.
During the cup final, Rice was really poor, but generally, Arsenal have been flying because of him in the middle of the park.
Bukayo Saka – 5/10
By his own high standards, it’s been a poor season for Bukayo Saka, who is yet to reach double figures in goals this season.
Arteta’s system has not helped Saka, and his performance in the Carabao Cup final highlighted why it’s been such a tough season for him.
William Saliba – 8/10
William Saliba has once again been outstanding and proved why he remains one of the best defenders in the world at just 24.
David Raya – 8/10
David Raya has produced some seriously outrageous saves this season and has quickly put himself in contention as one of the Gunners’ best players.
Piero Hincapie – 7/10
Piero Hincapie has proven to be a superb signing from Andrea Berta, following an injury-plagued season for Riccardo Calafiori.
Martin Zubimendi – 6/10
Now, this may come as a shock to many, but over recent months, Martin Zubimendi has looked well off the pace.
Perhaps there has been an element of fatigue, but ultimately, he’s not been the deep-lying playmaker that the Gunners have needed.
Viktor Gyokeres – 5/10
Yes, Viktor Gyokeres has scored plenty of goals, and some of his performances have been decent, but for £63 million, Arsenal needed so much better from their striker.
How do you RATE Viktor Gyokeres’ first season at Arsenal👀
16 goals in 42 matches is not a bad return, but for a team which has been waiting so long for a number nine, Gyokeres has not been good enough.
Eberechi Eze – 5/10
Eberechi Eze looked destined to be one of the shining lights in this Arsenal team when he was introduced to the Emirates Stadium, but that has not been the case.
His performances against Spurs have been worth the money alone, but for a team gunning for league titles, he’s just not offered enough elsewhere.
Kai Havertz – 6/10
When Kai Havertz has been fit, he’s actually been very good for Arsenal, but that just has not been enough so far this season. The German has missed 37 games this term.
Noni Madueke – 6/10
It’s been a fairly decent first season for Noni Madueke, but he’s still struggled to break into Arteta’s team despite Saka’s struggles.
Cristhian Mosquera – 7/10
Like Hincapie, Cristhian Mosquera has been a great addition for Arsenal and more often than not stepped up when required.
Ben White – 5/10
Jurrien Timber has been run into the ground at Arsenal, and that has not been helped by Ben White having a bad season.
Jurrien Timber – 8/10
Timber is another contender for Arsenal’s player of the season, with the right-back producing countless impressive performances.
Riccardo Calafiori – 5/10
Calafiori has struggled with injuries this season, which has left the North London club having to play Hincapie at left-back for most of it.
Leandro Trossard – 6/10
Leandro Trossard’s second half of the season has proved why Arsenal were ready to offload him in the summer.
The Belgian international started the season on fire, but he has yet to score a Premier League goal since the turn of the year.
Myles Lewis-Skelly – 3/10
Following his impressive breakout campaign, Myles Lewis-Skelly has completely fallen out of favour with the manager, and a move away in the summer looks likely.
Martin Odegaard – 4/10
There has been recent talk of Martin Odegaard leaving Arsenal in the summer, which says everything about how poor he has been.
👀 Who is the FIRST Arsenal player Andrea Berta must sell this summer?
The Arsenal captain has just one goal and seven assists in 27 matches for the Gunners.
Christian Norgaard – 4/10
A case could be made for Christian Norgaard deserving more game time; however, that has not been the case, and this has seen Zubimendi overplayed.
Mikel Merino – 7/10
Mikel Merino’s season was ended by injury, but once again, the makeshift striker stepped up when the team needed him this season.
Gabriel Jesus – 5/10
Gabriel Jesus could leave Arsenal in the summer, and that would not leave many supporters feeling sad, given how poor he has been.
Gabriel Martinelli – 6/10
Gabriel Martinelli’s Champions League form is keeping his rating respectable, but in the Premier League, the winger has not offered nearly enough.
