After overcoming Tottenham in the Premier League, Arsenal face another London derby with a trip to Chelsea.

The Gunners have the chance to send another statement to the Premier League, as first and second in the table clash at Stamford Bridge.

On the back of beating Bayern Munich and Tottenham, Mikel Arteta’s side will be full of confidence ahead of the fixture, with one player looking to earn the headlines again.

Eberechi Eze was the hero in the North London Derby, and now, he’ll be eager to add to his impressive run of form against Chelsea, whom he’s already faced this season.

This is what happened in Arsenal’s last trip to Stamford Bridge

Eberechi Eze will want revenge at Stamford Bridge after disallowed goal against Chelsea

Eze was unplayable against Spurs, pulling Thomas Frank’s side apart after they tried to sign him in the summer transfer window.

Three days later, Eze made life difficult for Bayern in the Champions League with another top performance, and now, Chelsea could feel the full wrath of Arsenal’s summer signing.

The 27-year-old has unfinished business at Stamford Bridge after Crystal Palace’s 0-0 draw at the ground back in August on matchday one.

Eze scored a direct free kick in the 14th minute of the match, a goal that VAR overturned due to Marc Guehi standing too close to Chelsea’s wall.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ commentary at the time, Chris Sutton described the decision as ‘scandalous’, as an unusual rule prevented the goal from being scored, ultimately costing Palace three points.

The match ended even, and Eze was denied his first goal of the Premier League season, so now, he’ll be raring to return to the Bridge and claim what many thought deserved to be his on matchday one.

Eze’s goalscoring at Arsenal is following a trend that Chelsea won’t like

Eze is already evolving at Arsenal following his £67m transfer, and amid his rich run of form, he’ll be desperate to inflict damage on Chelsea.

It’s five goal contributions in his previous four games for club and country for Eze, a tally that could rise at Stamford Bridge based on one emerging trend.

How many goals will Eberechi Eze score for Arsenal this season?

In his 11 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, the Englishman has four goals, with each of his strikes coming against opposition from London.

Having scored against Crystal Palace and Spurs, Eze will look at Chelsea as an opportunity to find the net again in a London derby.

The only thought in the player’s mind will be getting three points for Arsenal, who could go seven points clear with a win.
