Arsenal are starting to liven up in the summer transfer window, but they risk agitating certain current members of their squad with this influx of new signings, such as Jakub Kiwior.
Fans were beginning to grow anxious about the North London club’s lack of transfer activity thus far, but speculation around certain deals has accelerated in recent days, alleviating these concerns.
Martin Zubimendi is expected to sign from Real Sociedad, while Kepa Arrizabalaga has undergone his medical ahead of his switch from Chelsea.
Arsenal have also agreed a deal to sign Christian Norgaard from Brentford, with the Dane expected to arrive at London Colney for £10 million.
Andrea Berta isn’t stopping there, however, with reports now emerging that the Gunners are looking to add another defender to their ranks.

Arsenal working on deal to sign Christhian Mosquera
It’s been well documented that another centre-back is on Arsenal’s agenda this summer.
William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes have been overburdened in recent seasons, with Mikel Arteta overplaying the pair due to a lack of trust in other options at his disposal.
Christhian Mosquera has been linked with a move to Arsenal, and it appears the Gunners are now acting on their interest in the Spaniard.
According to The Athletic, Berta is working on a deal to sign the Valencia man.
Enjoying an excellent 2024/25 season, Mosquera has been described as ‘impressive’, and is said to be available for around £17 million.
The 20-year-old made 41 appearances for Valencia last season and was a part of the Spain under-21 Euros squad.
Arsenal view him as the perfect deputy for both Saliba and Gabriel, with his ability to play as both a left and right-sided centre-back appealing to the Gunners hierarchy.

Christhian Mosquera move will infuriate Jakub Kiwior
Jakub Kiwior spent the majority of last season waiting on the sidelines for an opportunity.
Eventually granted one when Gabriel sustained a hamstring injury, the Pole took the chance impressively, enjoying an excellent run in the Arsenal team at the end of the season.
The Gunners have subsequently responded to Kiwior’s form by looking to sign another player who will disrupt his ability to get minutes.
It would be no surprise if the former Spezia man is frustrated with these links, and will surely now consider his future at the Emirates.
Clubs in Italy are known to hold an interest in Kiwior, and he may now push for a move away.
