Mikel Arteta has a number of problems to solve at Arsenal right now.
The Gunners have lost three of their last four games, with the latest setback coming in a 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
That result has opened the door for Manchester City to have a real say in the title race, which is really worrying at this stage of the season.
Arsenal have issues in multiple areas of the pitch, but none more than the left wing. Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have become a major headache for Arteta.
Who was Arsenal’s worst performer against Bournemouth?
Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have put Arteta in a no-win situation
Arsenal duo Martinelli and Trossard are exceptional players who can cause problems for any defence on their day.
However, consistency has been a major issue for both this season, especially since the turn of the year.
The two wingers have had their moments, but it has reached a point where neither has fully convinced when given a run in the side.
When Martinelli starts, he often struggles to make an impact, and fans begin calling for Trossard to replace him. But when the Belgian gets the nod, the same pattern repeats, and Arteta is forced to switch again.

The latest example came against Bournemouth, where Martinelli started the game but managed just nine touches in 54 minutes at the Emirates.
That is absolutely unacceptable at a time when Arsenal need all their attackers firing.
With Trossard and Martinelli, Arteta has found himself in a no-win situation. No matter who he picks to start, it feels like the wrong call after watching them play.
This may just be the biggest problem he has faced since becoming the Arsenal manager.

Arsenal should consider selling both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard
Martinelli and Trossard were both signed for little money, and they have produced a few incredible moments for Arsenal.
However, it has now become clear that neither is reliable enough to start every game for a team aiming to win the biggest trophies.
That is why Arsenal need to make the bold decision of selling both of them and using the money they get to sign top-class replacements.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is of interest to Andrea Berta, would be an ideal signing to transform that position at Arsenal. Alongside him, the Gunners should bring in a younger option to provide depth and competition.
That would be the perfect scenario, but if Arsenal start next season with Martinelli and Trossard as their left wingers, things could get ugly.
