Arsenal are beginning to plan for next season after two games without a win has put an end to the Premier League title bid.

Incoming transfers have already been started upon by the club as Arsenal open ‘concrete talks’ with Joshua Kimmich and are expecting the arrival of Martin Zubimendi.

Recruitment in forward areas will be key to any success next season and Arsenal are ready to bid for Alexander Isak should the Swedish striker reject a new contract at Newcastle.

Nico Williams is another winger that Mikel Arteta admires but Arsenal may have to sell Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard in order to fund their squad revamp.

Mikel Arteta should not sell Gabriel Martinelli

Despite not having his best season, Gabriel Martinelli’s absence in recent week has shown how much the Gunners miss the pace of the Brazilian when he is not in the side.

Martinelli has scored seven goals in 35 appearances in all competitions this season and whilst he will be the first to admit that he needs to improve, time is on the winger’s side.

Arsenal fans will not be able to forget the exciting, confident player that arrived at the Emirates Stadium and that player can be found once again with the right system and personnel around him.

As per Planet Football, Brazil and Barcelona legend Ronaldinho has been full of praise for Martinelli in the past and stated he plays football with ‘no fear.’

Ronaldinho explained: “He reminds me of Ronaldo his first season in Europe he scored 30 goals and people were thinking: ‘Who is this 18-year-old Brazilian kid?’

“He wanted the ball, he would run at players, there was no fear no matter what players or team he was playing against – and I see that similar attitude in Martinelli.”

Leandro Trossard should be sold in order to fund new signings

Leandro Trossard and Raheem Sterling should be sold in order to fund new attacking signings at the club in the summer.

Sterling has been a huge disappointment since signing on loan from Chelsea and Arsenal fans were furious Sterling was even brought on against Nottingham Forest.

Trossard is coming towards the end of his career at 30 years of age and doesn’t possess that frightening burst of pace like Martinelli has.

Although the Belgian is still a deadly finisher and a good asset to have at the club, if the Gunners need to sell one of Trossard or Martinelli, the Brazilian has to edge it.
