Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes has been linked with a possible exit from the club heading into the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian centre-back was one of the first to buy into Mikel Arteta’s project, coming into the side under the Arsenal boss.

In the years since, Gabriel Magalhaes has grown into an elite defender, partnering well alongside William Saliba.

With Arsenal looking to land more silverware in the future, plenty of that could depend on the players signing up to the project.

That includes Gabriel, who has roughly two years left on his deal and faces the possibility of running down his contract.

With that deal in an uncertain place, Al-Nassr have shown interest in Gabriel as a possible transfer option.

As that interest comes in, here’s a look at a few possible replacements for the Brazilian in the transfer market.

Dean Huijsen

One of the up-and-coming defenders in the Premier League, Dean Huijsen has really announced himself this season with Bournemouth.

The 19-year-old has been a regular since his move from Juventus last summer, climbing the ranks and impressing many top teams.

Huijsen has a release clause in his contract that could see him leave the Cherries for roughly £50million, opening up the possibility of a deal.

Marc Guehi

England international Marc Guehi has been a regular performer in the Premier League for a few years now, impressing at Crystal Palace.

The 24-year-old is capable of playing on the left and right and has featured in some big matches in his career already.

With just one year left on his deal, Guehi could be open to an exit, should Arsenal come calling this summer.

With his peak years still ahead of him, the defender may well be a top option for many clubs out there.

Alessandro Bastoni

Perhaps one of the best left-footed options out there is Alessandro Bastoni, who wouldn’t be a cheap signing at all.

The 25-year-old has been an elite defender for Inter Milan for a few years now, with some top displays in his time there.

With three years left on his deal, it could be tough to tempt Bastoni away, while a huge financial package would be required.

However, he could be the perfect replacement for Gabriel in the event of an exit.
