The summer transfer window opens on Monday the 15th of June, and Arsenal have been drawing up a list of targets.

Arsenal are already showing an interest in Eli Junior Kroupi after the Bournemouth striker’s 13 goals in the Premier League.

Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers is also on Mikel Arteta’s radar as the club feel his versatility would be a great asset to the squad.

A fresh report has also come out confirming that Arsenal have made an approach to sign Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid.

That said, Alvarez has made his stance very clear to the Spanish giants.

Julian Alvarez informs Atletico Madrid that he wants to leave after Arsenal approach

Alvarez has established himself as one of the best strikers on the planet since leaving Manchester City in 2024.

The 26-year-old has netted 49 goals whilst laying on 17 assists in just two seasons for Atletico.

The £112m-rated centre-forward has now told Atleti that he won’t sign a new contract and is keen to move this summer, with Arsenal, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain circling.

Speaking on Gerard Romero’s YouTube channel, journalist German Garcia shared the latest on Alvarez’s stance.

“The player has informed Atletico Madrid that he doesn’t want to renew his contract and that he’s open to a transfer,” Garcia stated.

“Barca has made an initial offer of 100 million euros, without any players included in the deal. Julian maintains his stance of seeking a change of scenery, considering the possibilities and the markets he has open.

“There’s talk of Paris Saint-Germain, there’s talk of Arsenal, but Barcelona is the one that has the advantage over the others and is firmly in this position.”

Clearly, Barcelona are leading the race at the moment, but their initial bid of £86m is well short of Atleti’s demands.

So, Arsenal have the funds to hijack the deal, so long as they can convince the Argentina international to return to the Premier League.
