Arsenal are expected to be active in the transfer market right up until the September 1st deadline.
Up to five players could leave Arsenal before the window closing as Jakub Kiwior closes in on a move to Porto.
Fabio Vieira and Oleksandr Zinchenko are also expected to leave North London, meanwhile Arsenal are shocked that Reiss Nelson has not left yet.
Should Andrea Berta complete a number of sales, the Gunners could yet add one or two more players to their squad and the sporting director is looking to repeat Edu Gaspar’s transfer trick involving David Raya.

Arsenal could repeat David Raya’s loan deal with Piero Hincapie
Raya initially joined the Gunners in 2023 on a season-long loan deal with an options to buy for £30m during the summer of 2024.
Arsenal are close to PSR restrictions with their summer spending so far and could be about to strike a similar deal involving Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Hincapie has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal and now talks are ongoing over the structure of a deal between the two clubs.
Xabi Alonso is a big fan of Hincapie and has praised the defender’s ability on the ball and ‘aggression’ during his time as his manager in Germany.
With Kiwior and Zinchenko expected to leave, Mikel Arteta is hoping that the 23-year-old can bring further depth on the left side of the defence.
What will Piero Hincapie bring to Arsenal?
Hincapie is already an experienced player at the top level despite only being 23 years of age. He has played 166 matches for Bayer Leverkusen and represented Ecuador on 46 occasions.
What will interest Arteta most about Hincapie is his ability to play a number of positions – very similar to Riccardo Calafiori.
| Piero Hincapie’s career by position | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Centre back | 124 | 4 | 3 |
| Left back | 48 | 3 | 2 |
| Left midfield | 14 | 0 | 0 |
It gives the Arsenal squad further depth in the left centre back position and at left full-back, perhaps giving Myles Lewis-Skelly more opportunities to move into midfield.
With four trophies up for grabs this season, the Gunners are leaving nothing to chance following their injury crisis last season and Hincapie would bring extra reassurance to the back line.
