Morgan Rogers has dominated transfer headlines over the last few weeks.

The England international is expected to leave Aston Villa this summer, and several top clubs in the Premier League and abroad have been linked with his services.

Arsenal are seen as frontrunners to sign Rogers this summer, but Villa’s asking price was always viewed as a hurdle.

That may have just changed.

Aston Villa’s new asking price for Arsenal target Morgan Rogers

Morgan Rogers is one of the most valuable players in the world.

The attacker is still only 23, incredible on the ball, capable of creating and scoring goals and has all the traits required to play at the highest level.

CIES value Rogers at €136.8 million (£116m), which sounds about right in a market where Elliot Anderson is set to be sold for over £130 million.

Reports claimed recently that Arsenal did not agree with such a valuation for Rogers, as they felt he was worth a lot less.

That may well be the reason why Villa’s asking price has dropped.

Sky Sports have revealed that Unai Emery’s side will listen to offers around £80 million for Rogers, who is of interest to Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

No club-to-club talks have taken place yet, probably because Rogers is busy at the World Cup with England.

Once that is done, we expect talks to accelerate.

If you were Andrea Berta, what is the maximum fee you would pay to sign Morgan Rogers for Arsenal?

Morgan Rogers to Arsenal for £80m is a no-brainer

If the price for Rogers exceeded £100 million, Arsenal would’ve likely had second thoughts.

Although the Englishman is incredibly talented, he is not guaranteed to be a success like Declan Rice was when the Gunners spent a fortune on him.

However, with the price now down to £80 million, it becomes an easy decision for Andrea Berta.

Arsenal are still likely to negotiate and bring that fee further down, but we’re sure nobody will complain if they get him for such a price.

In our opinion, £80 million could even prove to be a bargain – that’s how big a talent Rogers is.
