Arsenal have been heavily linked with a potential transfer switch for striker Victor Osimhen in the transfer window, amid their search for a new centre-forward.
So far, the Gunners have struggled to land the clinical option they need up front to get them over the line in many of their key games.
Some links to the likes of Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko have appeared, following plenty of interest in them around the world of football.
With Arsenal still looking at the right option for them, recent links have put them back in the frame with transfer interest in Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian international has a break clause in his loan deal at Galatasaray that could see him leave in January for another club.
Arsenal are claimed to have made “contact” for Osimhen, with initial talks held over the possibility of a deal.
Within the move itself, the Gunners could offer a squad number or two to seal the deal.

Victor Osimhen shirt number history
If Osimhen is to make the switch to the Emirates Stadium, then he will have to pick an Arsenal shirt number to go along with it.
The striker has traditionally worn one of two numbers in his career so far – though there are a few others mixed in there too.
Predominantly, Osimhen has taken the number nine shirt, starring in it for both Napoli and Nigeria in years gone by.
There is another number that he has taken a preference for, which is the number 45 shirt, worn at Galatasaray and Charleroi.
Alongside that are others such as seven, 12, 16 and 18, though they have been far less predominant in his career.
Of those main two though, there are some conditions that come to the options at Arsenal if he was to join.

Arsenal squad numbers available to Victor Osimhen
When it comes to squad numbers available at Arsenal, there is only one that would fit for Osimhen and his current preferences.
The number 45 is free, one that has been rarely chosen and often picked up by Hale End academy graduates – such as Alex Iwobi, Tyreece John-Jules and Henri Lansbury.
While that is one option, the real “dream” number for any striker is the coveted number nine shirt.
Unfortunately for Osimhen, that is not currently available as Gabriel Jesus is the current occupant of the shirt.
That could change, on the condition that the Brazilian is open to a change of squad number, though it remains to be seen if that is possible.
